Theory: Schenkerian analysis, Contrapuntal techniques from the renaissance to contemporary periods, Compositional and theoretical issues of Tonal and Post-tonal music
Digital/Computer Music: composition, sound design, mixing, editing, synthesis and notation, Software, interactive and algorithmic applications (Tassman, MAX/MSP, and CSound etc)
Ear-training: Teaching fixed and moveable “Do” systems: chromatic, tonal and modal
Other Teaching/Research Interests: digital and mixed-/multi-media, computer-aided research and instruction, and interactivity
